Arizona River Runners, outfitters
since 1970
Fred Burke founded the Arizona River Runners in
1970 and his mission was simple: provide countless others with the
opportunity to experience the awesome nature of the Grand Canyon
by rafting on the Colorado River. Those beginnings saw the birth
of the modern adventure vacation, pioneered by early river running
guides who ventured out on no more than surplus equipment, raw determination
and a willing spirit.
Owners Bruce and Bill proved that hard work and
dedication can become the benchmark of success. They've passed along
that standard of excellence to their professional staff and that's
why their company continues to succeed today. Arizona River Runners,
like many outfitters, believe that the safety and satisfaction of
the passenger is paramount in the success of the rafting trip, and
creating raft trips that are appealing to families, individuals
and groups is a cornerstone of their success. Their goal "is
to make your once-in-a-lifetime opportunity into a safe, and memorable
experience that will become your favorite once-in-a-lifetime adventure."
Multi-day whitewater rafting trips on the Colorado
River give both river guides and customers a chance to experience
the true spirit of the Canyon, gain a new perspective on life, and
connect with many other like-minded people who appreciate this unique
outdoor environment. Spending time in the Canyon gives individuals
the chance to be kids again, to laugh and just appreciate the small
things in life, in a very Grand Place.
Since 1970 and countless hours spent rafting the
Colorado River, Arizona River Runners have grown
to be one of the most innovative, progressive and well-respected
outfitters operating in the Grand Canyon area. They operate with
customized, state of the art, rafts and boats and provide the majority
of the camping and day gear you'll need.
