In 1957, Henri Jeanneau, an individual already passionate about aeroplanes and automobiles, also discovers a passion for powerboating. This began after he watched a boat pass by his window. Later, in Les Herbiers, France he began building a wooden hull with which he participated in the 6-hour Paris race. He was the first to cross the finish line and the rest is history.
